- rederived the ice differential equation
- derived the Euler method from the fundamental definition of derivatives:

$$\frac{df}{dt}=\lim_{\Delta t\to 0} \frac{f(t+\Delta t)-f(t)}{\Delta t}$$
leads to
$$f(t+dt)\approx f(t)+f'(t)\Delta t$$

- talked about doing the ice problem using Euler in google sheets
- talked about naming ranges
- talked about initial conditions
- noticed that the first time step had a huge jump

- talked briefly about what happens if the temperature isn't constant
- showed it in sheets
- talked about making a vid to see it in Mathematica but now we're going to keep going with it in next week's lab (I made a change to the schedule)
